Jet &
Private Aircraft Interior Seal Applications
Felton polymer assemblies
are ideal for
hiding
gaps, controlling noise and vibration, directing air flow or guiding
objects.
Currently used in commercial and regional jets and private aircraft,
our assemblies offer the best combination of functionality, eye appeal
and relative cost to the aircraft interior designer and engineer.
Assemblies provide excellent U.V. stability,
chemical
resistance and, where required,
meet FAR horizontal or vertical burn
test guidelines.
Fabrication may include extrusions, molds, stampings, sonic welding,
heat staking and "snap-in" designs.

Window Guides Bring Smooth Performance & Less
Weight |
|
|
Window shades
perform best when they can travel smoothly and
close properly after thousands of movements.
Designing with lightweight, flexible-backed
filament-based polymers is essential to the performance you want.

Rubber, plastic, filament -- There's no shortage
of materials to hide gaps. But will it blend or
contrast with
surrounding parts? Stand up to thousands
of passes from your assembly -- controls or
mechanical arm? Felton assemblies
are designed
with lightweight polymers that conform to your
visual and mechanical requirements.

Compartment Joints & Seals |

Lavatory doors -- One- or two-panel in a narrow
space offer special mechanical challenges.
Whether a folding or stationary seal, materials
need to withstand thousands of flex or
compression operations. Felton provides tough,
lightweight extrusions that can retrofit to your
aluminum extrusions.

Vibration and Noise Control |
|
|
A quiet ride depends on proper sealing of doors
and compartments. For example, molded compartments joined together
that do not
flex in unison can produce annoying sound affects.
Applying low-profile flexible polymers between
compartments prevents unwanted noise.
Additionally, Felton provides noise reduction
opportunities for pass-through mechanisms
including console and foot controls in private
aircraft and rotorcraft.

Device Closeouts and Sweeps |
|
|
When you want to hide unsightly
mechanisms from view
but allow them to operate unhindered, Felton
polymer assembles can do
the job.
Tray-tables and video screens in 1st and
Business class, for example, use Felton
assemblies for the dual purpose of hiding gaps
when opening and stowing these units while
keeping objects out of the storage area.
