Door Seals Close Out Weather and Meet Safety Guidelines

Felton designs and manufactures complete door-seal systems for mass transit.
Products can be plastic, rubber, extruded aluminum or stainless steel.

Our H-strip extrusions are the basis for many designs. This integrated construction combines mounting flange and brush holder. No welding of flanges required. Available in a range of flange sizes and angles, these extrusions can be:
  • Formed
  • Anodized clear or colored
  • Painted
  • Punched
  • Applied with pressure sensitive adhesive.

The same construction can be accommodated with either moderate- or heavy-gage stainless steel.

Vibration and Noise Control

A quiet ride depends on proper sealing of doors and compartments. For example, molded compartments joined together that do not flex in unison can produce annoying sound affects. Applying low-profile flexible polymers between compartments prevents unwanted noise.

Heavy Duty Seals

Heavy doors on freight or passenger rail cars need extra-heavy gage material. Felton's range of stainless steel, aluminum or polymer extrusion and brush seal gaps and keep the elements in or out.
